Two entrances provide easy access in and out to the old homestead, barns, and outbuildings that served the family farm in the days gone by. The farmhouse, built in 1959, is too broken down and not livable. But, the old septic system, yet to be located, might still be viable. The farm house was served with spring water from the red brick Sneedville Utility building (just beyond the far end of the property). The city is no longer providing water from that source, so a well is needed. The creek is lovely and constantly running with the same spring water that used to be piped into the house from the city building. The property supports cattle and has a large area of lush land at the bottom for other animals and gardens. Its views are exceptional, the woods are gorgeous, and the creek is vibrant. The whole surrounding area is a very beautiful patchwork of large rolling farms with lovely homes and manicured land. Electricity is there, and possibly fiber internet. The town of Sneedville, within a 10-minute scenic drive, has facilities to meet most every need. Morristown & Rogersville, larger cities, are within 40 minutes. The size of the land was estimated by using the measuring tool in the CRS system. There will be cleaning up to do at the bottom. Yet, it is a lovely property worth the trouble. From Sneedville BP gas station at the bridge, cross over the bridge away from town turning left on the other side. Follow through the curve keeping right. Stay on the 2-lane road then turn right onto Trent's Chapel Rd (aka Old Hwy 131). Driveway is a sharp turn, downward driveway from the road on the right, across from Elihu Rd.
